Bolzano, located in Trentino Alto Adige, is the capital of the autonomous province and is situated at an altitude of 264 meters above sea level, occupies the eastern part of the basin that results from the meeting of the valleys of Isarco, Sarentina and Adige.

Three cable cars connect the city to the tops closer, over a drop of one thousand meters, the cable car of the hill, which rises to Monte Pozza arriving at Bauernkohlern, the Renon cable car to reach Soprabolzano and the cable car in San Genesio, the name of the country that reaches located on ‘Plateau of Salto.

Bolzano, in addition to being placed in a beautiful landscape, is also a center very animated by the cultural point of view, it is home to museums and has an interesting architectural and artistic heritage among which the Cathedral of Bolzano, church cathedral dedicated to the Assumption.

Under the arcades of the center overlooking the shops from the windows and inviting, in the Christmas period, in Piazza Walther held the traditional Christmas market. Around the city relax prized vineyards from production and rise magnificent mountains including the chain of the Mendola, the ‘Plateau of Salto, the Monte Tondo (top minor Rittner) and Monte Pozza.

Looking towards the east you can see the magnificent mountains of the Rosengarten with the Vajolet Towers that are part of the Dolomites. The peaks can be reached from the nearest city by cable car and hiking destinations are greatly appreciated.
