Formentera is an island that is part of the Balearic archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea and is located in front of the eastern coast of the Iberian peninsula, the ideal place for holidays.

The closest point on land is situated about 65 Km. From the island and corresponds to the town of Denia, Alicante province. Formentera is connected to Ibiza by ferry and hydrofoil, that offer this service on a daily basis, as to reach the island by air must first pass from the nearby and larger Ibiza.
The territory of Formentera is mostly flat, the maximum altitude is reached by ‘plateau of the Mola (about 190 meters above sea level), located in the south-east of the island. Going up the plateau, covered with natural vegetation, the wonderful panorama has a view of much of the island and on the beautiful surrounding.
Among the beaches are remembered, the beach of Ses Illetes, a strip of sand with the sea on both sides, the Llevant Beach, the long beach Migjorn, the beach Cala Sahona, famous for kiosks and for cocktails at the beach before sunset.
On the plateau is the village of Pilar de la Mola, built around the church dating back to 1784, known for his distinctive craft market, which generally takes place twice a week. Nearby, place on a cliff 120 meters high, stands the lighthouse of La Mola, a magical and contemplative.
At Mola is also the old mill, Molì Vell, testimony of the island’s past, because the grain was a key resource for its economy, as it is today tourism, thanks to the many and beautiful sandy beaches, lapped by the waters crystalline.
