Hammamet is in Tunisia. Hammamet is the plural of Hamman which means baths. Its beaches are large and elegant, warm weather. Its interior is full of orange trees, lemon trees, vineyards and olive groves. The climate of this small town of Tunisia is mitigated by the sea, especially hot from March to October.
What to see in Hammamet
– Yasmine Beach is the newer part of town, where there are beaches, offers numerous recreational facilities and hotels, which have arisen since the twenties of the twentieth century onwards, in the wake of other places in the country renowned in terms of tourism, as Tunis and Monastir.
– Medina is the old part of town that consists of a complex of houses and whitewashed buildings, alleys, shops of local handicrafts, surrounded by walls and with a central mosque. It dominates throughout the Kasbah, an ancient Arabic fort. Walking in the city center you can see many trendy cafes and shops at every category.
– Inland from Hammamet there are large plantations of orange and lemon trees.
