Where is Mexico
Mexico is bordered to the north by the United States, southeast with Guatemala and Belize. flag mexico And ‘wet west by the Pacific Ocean, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean and more specifically from the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. Mexico is predominantly a country of high lands. Two chains of mountains, the Sierra Madre Occidental in the west and the Sierra Madre Oriental in the east, running parallel to the short distance from the coast, and surround the interior highlands that constitute the mainland of Mexico. Further south these two chains come together and form the Southern Sierra Madre in which stand out as the major volcanic cones Citlaltepetl (5700 m.) And Popocatepetl (5452 m.). To the west stretches into the Pacific Ocean, the peninsula of California, while to the east, between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea stretches the great flat peninsula of Yucatan.
Plateau of Mexico
Much of the Mexican territory is located in more than one thousand meters of altitude above sea level and is made primarily from the plateau Central, outlined by the Sierra Madre Occidental and Sierra Madre Oriental. There are also a volcanic chain and cross a mountainous region south extended to the limestones of the Yucatán. Between the Sierra Madre Oriental and the ocean is a flat area extended to the Yucatán. The coastline bathed by the Pacific Ocean is high and rocky, while south of the Río Balsas are the Sierra Madre del Sur and the Sierra Madre of Chiapas, divided from the isthmus of Tehuantepec. To the north lies the rather narrow peninsula known as Baja California. The major river is the Río Bravo Mexican del Norte on the border with the United States of America. Among the many rivers that run into the Pacific are the Sonora, the Yaqui, Fuerte, the Santiago and Balsas. Others who run into the Gulf of Mexico are the Panuco, the Tecolutla, the Papaloapan, Grijalva and Usumacinta. The rivers of the plateau are mostly pouring in brackish water lakes frequently.
The only major river of Mexico is the Rio Grande, which marks a section of the border with the US. The largest lake is Lake Chapala Mexico, located at 1500 meters high.
Mexico is crossed by the Tropic of Cancer. The temperatures are high. In particular, in the Yucatan Peninsula and on the slopes facing the Atlantic Ocean, the climate is warm and humid, but because this country is mostly mountainous, climatic conditions are influenced by the height of the reliefs.

The general economic situation of Mexico looks quite stable, even though the country still can not be adequately benefited from their wealth (oil and mineral reserves, manpower sufficiently prepared, tourist wealth, its geographical location). In fact, the industrial system of the country is characterized by a strong presence of foreign-owned multinationals, and a financial system, now controlled by foreign groups, with the focus towards global interests, rather than to those of local companies. The largest groups parastatal, closed to foreign capital, are distressed at the lack of investments, especially in the oil and electricity. In agriculture, the main products of Mexico are cereals such as corn, wheat, sorghum, rice, oats, barley and beans. From areas in tropical climate come coffee, sugar, cocoa, bananas and pineapples, besides citrus fruit that are also found in temperate zones, along with the cultivation of vines and olives. Also important is the cultivation of fiber plants such as cotton, flax and agave. All of these products come in most commercial agriculture, while there are small farmers who produce small amounts of the edge of survival, forced to leave the countryside to the big cities, thus increasing ‘the number of unemployed.
When you go to Mexico
The tourist season coincides with the winter months (December is high season), in Caribbean locations such as Cancun and Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula.
